Google Review Link Generator
✓ Cloud or on-premise · ✓ Kiosk, QR, SMS, email and web · ✓ Live in one day
A Google review link is a web address that opens your business's review form on Google directly — no searching and no scrolling. Paste your Google Place ID below to generate it, then copy the link into emails, text messages, receipts and your website, or download the matching QR code for print.
Google review link generator
- Open Google's official Place ID Finder page.
- Type your business name into the search box on the map and pick it from the list.
- Copy the Place ID shown in the pop-up (it usually starts with “ChIJ”) and paste it here.
Runs entirely in your browser — nothing you type is sent to us.
Print it at least 2 × 2 cm (0.8 in) and test with two different phones before you print in bulk.
What a Google review link is and why it helps
Most customers who are willing to leave a review give up somewhere between “search for the business”, “find the right branch” and “find the review button”. A direct link removes all three steps. It points to Google's review address with your listing's Place ID attached:
https://search.google.com/local/writereview?placeid=ChIJ…
Opened on a phone or a computer, the link shows your business with the star rating and text box already open. The customer signs in with their own Google account, chooses the stars, writes a few words and posts. Nothing else to find.
The generator above builds the link from your Place ID. It runs in your browser, does not need an account, and the link it produces is permanent — it does not route through any short-link service that could expire.
How to find your Google Place ID
- Open Google's official Place ID Finder (it is part of the Google Maps Platform documentation and free to use).
- Type your business name — add the street or town if there are several branches — in the search box on the map.
- Select your listing. A pop-up shows the name, address and the Place ID, a string that usually starts with
ChIJ. - Copy the ID, paste it into the generator, and press Test the link to make sure the right listing opens.
If your business is not found, check that the Google Business Profile is verified and published.
Alternative: Google Business Profile also offers an “Ask for reviews” button that gives you a short share link. It does the same job. If you prefer it, paste it into our Google review QR code generator to get a printable code.
Where to use the link
- After-visit emails and text messages. The moment right after a visit, a delivery or a resolved support case is when people remember the details. Add one line with the link, the same for every customer.
- E-receipts and order confirmations. A short “How did we do? Review us on Google” line under the order summary.
- Email signatures. For front-line teams — advisers, account managers, clinic receptionists — a link in the signature asks quietly in every conversation.
- Your website. A “Review us on Google” link on the contact page or in the footer, especially for each branch page if you have several locations.
- Printed material, via QR. A link cannot be clicked on paper, so the same tool gives you a QR code for counters, receipts, table tents and room cards.
For several locations, create one link per branch. Each branch has its own Place ID, and a shared link would send every review to one listing.
Ask everyone, the same way: Google's review rules
Sending a review link is fine — Google encourages businesses to ask. The limits are about selection and reward. Google Maps' policy on fake engagement prohibits review gating (selectively asking only satisfied customers, for example sending the link only to people who rated you highly in your own survey), discouraging negative reviews, offering incentives such as discounts or prize draws in exchange for reviews, and reviews written by owners or employees about their own business.
In practice that means one message, sent to every customer in the same flow, with no conditions and no reward attached. If you also run a private satisfaction survey, keep the two independent: the survey tells you what to fix; the review link goes to everyone regardless of their answer.
Managing the reviews the link brings in
More reviews also means more replies to write and more complaints to follow up. Qmeter's Google review management connects your Google Business Profile once and brings every location's reviews into one workspace. AI drafts replies in five tones, foreign-language reviews are translated inline, and every review of 3 stars or below automatically opens a ticket with an owner and an SLA timer in Qmeter's ticketing. Average rating, total reviews, reply rate and response time are tracked per location.
The same platform collects private feedback through kiosks, QR codes, SMS, email and web links, with real-time alerts when a score drops — so you hear about a problem before it becomes a public one-star review. See how it closes the loop in our guide to closed-loop feedback.
Frequently asked questions
How do I get a direct link to my Google reviews?
Find your Place ID with Google's Place ID Finder and add it to https://search.google.com/local/writereview?placeid= — or paste the ID into the free generator on this page, which builds the link for you. Google Business Profile's Ask for reviews button gives you a short share link as an alternative.
What is a Google Place ID?
A Place ID is the unique identifier Google gives each listing on Google Maps. It is a string of letters, digits, dashes and underscores, usually starting with ChIJ. Every branch of a business has its own Place ID.
Does the Google review link expire?
No. The link contains your Place ID and points directly at Google, so it keeps working as long as the listing exists and its Place ID does not change. Google can occasionally update a Place ID, for example after merging duplicate listings, so test the link now and then.
Can I send the review link only to satisfied customers?
No. Selectively asking satisfied customers is review gating, which Google's policy prohibits, as are incentives for reviews. Send the same invitation to every customer.
Can I turn the review link into a QR code?
Yes. The generator shows a QR code for the link as soon as it is created, with downloads as PNG for screens and SVG for print.
Is the Google review link generator free?
Yes. It is free, needs no account, and runs in your browser; the Place ID you type is not sent to Qmeter.
