Government CX readiness check
✓ Cloud or on-premise · ✓ Kiosk, QR, SMS, email and web · ✓ Live in one day
This readiness check tells a government service centre how much customer experience evidence it could show an assessor today. Answer twelve statements with Yes, Partly or No and you get a score from 0 to 100, a gap list with one next step for each gap, and a short list of what to prepare before the next evaluation. It runs in your browser; nothing is sent unless you ask for the report by e-mail.
How to use the readiness check
Answer for one service centre, not the whole entity: readiness differs by centre, and assessments are usually done centre by centre.
- Yes means it is in place today and you could show the evidence this week.
- Partly means it exists on some channels, some days or some teams.
- No means it does not exist or nobody could show it.
The twelve statements are grouped the way an assessment usually looks at a centre: how feedback is collected, how results are used, how unhappy customers are followed up, and what evidence remains afterwards.
How the score is calculated
Each Yes is one point, each Partly half a point, each No zero. The total is divided by twelve and shown as a percentage. The bands (Ready, Mostly ready, Gaps to close, Starting out) are Qmeter's reading of how much evidence a centre can present; they are not official thresholds. Star-rating and happiness programmes in the Gulf publish their principles and evaluation methods, not their scoring formulas, so no tool can tell you the score an assessor will give.
What the statements do reflect is the evidence pattern those programmes describe: a satisfaction question at the moment of service on every channel, results broken down to the centre and the service, complaints with an owner and a deadline, and records an assessor can audit. The context for the UAE is on Star Rating and Happiness Meter; for Saudi Arabia on the customer experience maturity index; for Qatar on government service excellence.
What to do with the result
Take the gap list to the next management meeting and fix gaps in this order: first anything in Closing the loop (an unhappy answer that reaches nobody is the gap assessors notice first), then Collecting (channels with no question), then Evidence. Most centres can close three or four gaps in a month without new budget: a rule that assigns low scores to a supervisor, a daily report, a written service standard.
If the gaps are in collection or evidence, that is what a feedback platform does: Qmeter asks the question on kiosks, QR codes, SMS and web, stores every answer with centre, service and time, opens a case for every unhappy answer and keeps the audit trail for the whole cycle, hosted in-country or on your own servers. Frequently asked questions
Is this an official assessment?
No. It is a free self-check built by Qmeter from the published principles of government customer experience programmes. Official scoring criteria are not published, and only the assessing authority can rate a centre.
Who should fill it in?
The centre manager or the customer happiness lead, ideally together with the person who handles complaints. It takes about three minutes per centre.
Do you store my answers?
No. The answers stay in your browser. If you ask for the report by e-mail, we send it once to the address you give and keep your details only to reply if you ask us to.
Does it apply outside the UAE?
Yes. The twelve statements describe evidence that any public service assessment looks for: moment-of-service feedback, results by centre and service, complaint ownership and an audit trail. The programme pages linked above give the country context.
What score is good enough?
There is no published threshold. Treat anything below Ready as a to-do list, and use the gap list rather than the number: two centres with the same score can have very different gaps.
